Prayer is, in my view, nothing other than a talk with a friend. One to whom we gladly come alone to talk with, because we are sure that he loves us. (Teresa of Avila)
Our order has the calling to pray, to participate in Christ's prayer. We celebrate the Eucharist and the Church's Divine Office together daily. We spend two hours daily in prayer, in meditation. We seek to remain in the presence of the Lord all of the day, and in all that we do and experience.
Let us then together decide to make every day one of interrupted unification. Let us awaken in the morning in His love, and offer ourselves to His love the whole day. This means, follow the will of God, and live under His eyes, with Him, in Him, and for Him alone.
Let us offer ourselves to Him in every moment, in the way that He wants. And when the evening comes, after a dialogue of love which never stopped in our hearts, we will fall asleep in His love. (Elisabeth of the Trinity)
